Update Note

3.5w/3 Easy Focus & PDF/IMG

Hello, I'm Seungcheol Lee from SuitdiO. Were you disappointed by the lack of new features in the last update? Don't worry—we've prepared a major update this time!

This week alone, I interviewed 5 people, bringing our total customer voices to 9. The more we listen to customers, the faster our development speed becomes. We have another major update planned for next week, so stay tuned! ⭐️

Easy Focus 🌠

  • Solved the fundamental inconvenience of whiteboards that popups couldn't address

  • Q ▶︎ Focus

    • Use focus with widget(s) selected to concentrate on those widgets

    • Use focus with nothing selected to view the overall structure

Additional Viewport Usability Improvements 💻

  • Now you can easily navigate your viewport:

    • Zoom in/out with shortcuts:

      • cmd + + ▶︎ Zoom in

      • cmd + - ▶︎ Zoom out

    • Easily change viewport with mouse:

      • scroll ▶︎ Vertical movement

      • shift + scroll ▶︎ Horizontal movement

      • cmd + scroll ▶︎ Zoom in/out

    • Trackpad viewport changes are now supported

  • Extended maximum/minimum viewport range

PDF/IMG widget 🗂️

  • Now add PDFs or images to your board for flexible use

    • Organize any material for easy viewing at a glance

    • Consolidate various materials in one place

  • Add files to your board via Drag&Drop from external sources

Improve 🌱

Easy Alignment 🌈

  • Whiteboard characteristics create stress when controlling widgets individually

  • Improved from the previous method of moving widgets one by one—now align widgets nicely with a single click

  • Only applies to widgets connected by arrows

Enhanced Arrow Experience 🏹

  • Received lots of feedback about wanting to fix arrow positions

  • Improved the previous system where arrow positions weren't fixed—now arrows connect to desired positions

  • Improved arrow design

We plan to make arrow positions adjustable in the future.

Bug Fix 🐜 …

  • Fixed error where text widgets were created by double-clicking anywhere

  • Fixed error where arrow widget menu wasn't appearing

  • Fixed error where some text and board previews were hidden

  • Fixed design errors in topic/conclusion and AI markdown input fields

👋 Closing Thoughts

This week, I conducted offline usability tests with five people: four startup CEOs I met through networking and one prospective entrepreneur. I also received business feedback from senior entrepreneurs, making it a rich week.

Deep-tech Startup CEO, 30s, Female

  • Previously organized thoughts mentally and only used Word or notepad for writing → Satisfied with service features but wouldn't use it for personal thought organization

  • Feels frustrated with team communication → However, would gladly pay to use it if collaborative features were available

Platform Startup CEO, 30s, Female

  • Would consider using if integrated with Notion and Slack

  • Could help with work, but sees value in organizing important personal areas (values, dreams, mortality) → Received partnership proposal

B2B Software Startup CEO, 40s, Male

  • Feels the necessity after using all features, but doesn't feel the need before using

  • Rather than providing universally, would pay to use if systems and AI features were segmented by business/marketing/projects, etc.

  • Currently satisfied with existing AI usability → Didn't feel improved AI usability

InsurTech Startup CEO, 30s, Male

  • Used mind mapping services paid but stopped due to inconvenience; strongly empathizes with the need for structured planning

  • Wants flexible support for slightly different planning styles per person

  • Would definitely use if free, willing to pay if integrated with mobile app

Prospective Entrepreneur, 20s, Male

  • Uses service dependently on AI rather than designing thought structure/flow

  • Expressed desire to use the service immediately

This update has different significance—we've become a service that can surprise customers three times. We have an internal standard: if we can "satisfy with thought organization convenience and surprise three times," we can "enter the market." While we didn't utilize this in testing, I'm excited for the next test thinking about surprising customers.

  1. Whiteboard usability

  2. Built-in AI utility

  3. File format diversity

Users had more diverse value points and needed features than expected. I felt it's important to focus on VoC while moving in a consistent direction. We're considering ways to diversify test tasks to classify customer groups.

SuitdiO will continue focusing on the product and pushing forward. Thank you.
